GUIDELINES FOR BIDDING OF VANITY NOs.
All available Vanity numbers, along with their reserve price for auction are uploaded in the circle website http://www.celloneorissa.bsnl.co.in/ .
The auction process starts from 10:00 Hr of 18.05.2009 to 10:00 Hr of 25.05.2009(7 days). Bidding will be done only through SMS from BSNL (Orissa) mobile only. Each bidder shall have to get registered for auction through SMS for which additional charge of Rs.50.00 per vanity number shall be levied. Each SMS for the purpose of bidding shall be charged @ Rs.2.00 per SMS, except for registration.
The bidding shall be allowed in multiple of Rs100 above the minimum reserve price upto Rs.25000/. Please follow the procedure below.
AUCTION PROCEDURE
(i) To know the highest bid already available for vanity/choice number, send following SMS to ‘56666”;
CHOICE<space>MOBILE NUMBER ( Example CHOICE <space>9437034567 )
(ii) To register for a vanity/choice number, send following SMS to ‘56666’ .
REGVAN<space>mobile number(Example REGVAN<space>9437034567 )
A confirmation shall be sent to customers with the reserve price of that number and highest bid already received on that number.
(iii) To bid for a vanity/choice number send following SMS to ‘56666’. CHOICE <space>10 DIGIT MOBILE NUMBER<space>AMOUNT. For example, if bidding Rs.10000 for mobile number 9437034567 then your SMS shall be as below;

(iv) To cancel a bid for vanity/choice number, the bidder can contact the call centre, to withdraw his bid. In such a case, his bid as well as registration will be cancelled for that vanity/ choice number. Call Centre officials (through his mobile no) will be authorized to send following SMS:-
CANCHOICE <Customer mob. No.> <Choice No.> <Bid value>
OTHER CONDITIONS
(i) Bid below the minimum reserve price shall not be accepted.
(ii) Bid shall be acceptable in multiples of Rs.100 only. For example, if the current bid for your choice number is Rs.3000, then you can bid any amount above Rs.3000.00 in multiple of Rs.100 i.e. Rs.3100, Rs.3200 etc.
(iii) At the end of auction, top three (H-1, H-2 & H-3) bidders shall be informed by respective SSA of the Circle to know about their status and request them to provide Name, Address and details of the ID (to ensure that number is allotted to selected customer only). These details shall be used to contact the selected bidder. Therefore, it is very necessary that bidders are always available on the mobile phone.
(iv) If the highest (H-1) bidder fails to deposit the bid amount with BSNL within five working days of intimation i.e from 27.05.2009 to 01.06.2009, the number shall be offered to second highest (H-2) bidder at his/her second highest bid price. Similarly if the second highest (H-2) bidder fails to deposit the bid amount with BSNL within five working days of intimation i.e from 03.06.2009 to 08.06.2009, the number will be offered to third highest (H-3) bidder at his/her third highest bid price. The concerned SSA should inform CMTS after schedule time of closing day and before 18.00 Hr of that day.
(v) In case a bidder, when intimated to deposit the bid amount, fails to deposit the amount, then his/her BSNL cellular number shall be debarred from all future auctions of Vanity numbers.
(vi) The entire bid amount shall have to be paid in single installment before obtaining the vanity number.
(vi) BSNL reserves the right to cancel allocation of any vanity number at any time without assigning any reason.
